Doing a re-roof on a house in North Vancouver. Good bye tar and gravel. Hello torch on. The swimming pool in the back yard is very inviting. We were debating whether we would touch the bottom of the pool if we jumped off the roof into the pool. My vote was no. It has not been proven. This roof was coated in a thick layer of moss. Because of the moss I could not hire my usual roof vacuum contractor. So we had an exercise in roof gravel removal. I calculated I did 124 shovels of gravel into a wheel barrow. It’s a good reminder doing this labour. It tells me that I’m getting old. The roof is going down great and all things are on schedule and budget. I bet I could throw a twist into my leap and still land in the pool and enter without touching bottom. I wonder what Rhonda would say?
