Metal roof leak repairs, Vancouver, BC

Metal roof leak repairs, Vancouver, BCWriting this blog is fun. I enjoy it. But just because I enjoy it doesn’t mean I remember or feel like doing it all the time… even though I’m told by my Webmaster about it’s positive effects on our rankings. So I’m back. Should I go to confession? Yes… but I’m not Catholic. Phew. Today’s work took us into Vancouver to upgrade the fasteners on a metal roof. The old screws had aged and the dried-up neoprene washers were no longer in contact with the metal deck. Many screws were crooked and they all were rusted. The screws were letting water in under the metal so it needed to be done. This is something that all metal roofs require. This particular home owner was wise in resolving the deficiency before it amounted to a noticeable degree and caused drywall damage. Preventative maintenance is always the way to go. So we up-sized the fasteners. We went with one screw that was both longer and thicker. That way we were grabbing onto fresh wood and not just spinning in the old screw’s hole.
