Not a good thing to find

So we were in Vancouver today helping a homeowner deal with a leak issue. It wasn’t an easy one. There were many possibilities and no obvious point to begin with. The lack of the “Smoking Gun” is always cause for challenge. But when you see something like this photo it can be distressing. A water stain coming out from behind a vertical siding piece near the bottom of the wall. If you want to do it properly, you know you have to take the siding off to get to the bottom of this. Good thing it is near a corner that we can start at.
