Case Study

We had to determine what amount of wood would be required to bring the tiles flush. It turned out to be 2 layers of 1x3 on the first row and one layer of 1x3 on the 2nd row.

We needed two tiles to use in the front and rear tile replacement work so I salvaged two existing color-matched tiles (to use in visible areas) with two here on the upper roof. They are the same tile only new and a lighter color.

We also installed a black drip edge flashing to conceal the newly installed wood.

Almost finished. You can see the two layers of wood we used to level out the "plane" of the tiles.

This tile was noted in the report but has ZERO chance of leakage. It is merely a chipped corner with valley flashing underneath the chip to provide water proofing services.

However, the other tile in the report was at risk for leakage so we replaced it.

After the tiles were installed, a black drip edge flashing was installed to conceal the newly installed wood.

We then replaced another tile.
