The old roof is torn off and the new roof system is started with installation of a thermo-fusible torch safe base board. This layer is mechanically fastened to the plywood roof deck

This project was one where we tore off an old shingle roof that was applied to a low slope roof. It never should have been shingled but the last roofer convinced the owner that a shingle roof system was acceptable for the pitch of the roof.

Needless to say it wasn’t acceptable and needed to be replaced sooner then it would have been could the roofer had installed the right system for the roof. Here are some progress shots.
